Gautham Vasudeva Menon is planning to have double climax for his Vinnathandi Varuvaaya.

A censor board source confirmed that two separate climaxes of the film have been shot and censored.

The buzz is that there is a happy and a sad climax. Most of the people GM showed the film liked a particular ending, but what about the masses?

So in case there is a criticism from a section of the audiences, after the first day noon show a different climax can be put for the matinee show. The climax that works with the masses will be then finalized.

It will work better for the film if the audiences are left to choose their climax. For example the elite audiences at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai may like climax A, while the person watching the film at Kuzhithurai Lakshmi may lap up climax B. Remember a lot of audiences in B & C centers did not like the climax of Menon’s last release Vaaranam Aayiram, but the audiences at A centers simply loved it!

Some years back, veteran director Fazil had tried out two different climaxes for his Mammootty and Mohanlal multi-starrer Harikrishna. In Malabar area of Kerala in the climax, the heroine Juhi Chawla gets married to Mammootty, while in Travancore and Cochin area she gets married to Mohanlal!
